WinZip now available free for iPhone

Zipping softwares have been in the use for quite a while from now. It’s quite presumable that as soon as your system boots after the installation of your Operating System, installing a zipping software is one of the first thing you’d do, may be even before you install MS Office.

With increasing use of smartphones, especially BlackBerry and iPhones, where push mail feature is quite common, it’s been quite a while that zipping companies have been researching to develop the respective versions of their software. Now, as iPhone outnumbers the BlackBerry in the market, after months of research WinZip has finally designed a free zipping version for iPhones too. The innovation isn’t just restricted to iPhones only. In fact, the new version of WinZip, with a size of only 1MB, has been designed in such a way that it is compatible to the most of the Apple product range, be it iPhone, iPad or even iPod.

As per company officials, the newer version supports opening & attaching the zip files directly from the mailbox, with a support for Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo Mail. They added that the mobile version of WinZip is compatible to all devices with iOS 4.2 onwards version installed.
