Twilio Bringing voice chatting to iPhone

With the new iOS SDK, Twilio is making it possible for developers to easily integrate the voice chatting and voip. Twilio a San Francisco firm is giving anyone from small apps developers to large corporate houses, an easy inexpensive way to integrate voice communications.

With the release of the new software development kit, Twilio is giving iOS developers the same voip tools. The developers can use the development kit to integrate voice communications with their apps. According to the twilio the basic setup takes only 15min.

The Twilio has made some serious rise last with, an overall 400% growth in its user base. About 75000 developers are currently using the Twilio services, which does includes some of the big names like Hulu, eBay, LinkedIn etc.

Twilio also boast of the feature called presence, that allows users to know when their friend comes online and when they are available for voice chat. It charges 25cents on both sides for VoIP to VoIP calls and 2 cents a min for calling traditional phones.

Twilio’s platform enables one to create VoIP to VoIP calls, VoIP to phone calls, conference calls and group calls. With thousands of apps present in the Apple Apps Store, and tons of other coming, it is likely that many developers will come up with the Twilio based apps.
